SOCIAL EVENTS

Social events are an important part of the Calne Smartt ethos that bond our members together. In the spring we host a "Run with SMaRTT", a gentle run where our members friends, families and dogs are encouraged to come along as well as anyone who wants to try us out. Summertime we host a bar-b-que for the members and their families, and in the autumn we have a weekend away at lodges where we will find a local parkrun, arrange physical activities, swim and cycle and generally relax and get to know each other. Then in December of course we will have a Christmas party with an awards ceremony recognizing members achievements throughout the year. On Christmas eve there is always a morning run of about 5 miles that will start and finish at a local pub where tea, coffee and bacon rolls are laid on. Then or course, any weekend casual group run or cycle always involves a stop off at a café somewhere for coffee and a cake.
