Reading Half - 1st April
Thirteen Calne SMaRTT
runners took their place amongst the 16,000 other starters in the Reading Half on Sunday and some
excellent times were achieved. Ian Scott posted an outstanding 1:20 and if it hadn’t been for the
beer chaser at the turn for home then sub 1:20 would have been a possibility! James ross said he
‘struggled’ all the way around but still came in with an excellent 1:39. For the ladies Emma Satchell ran
a comfortable 1:31 with penny Hobden an excellent 1:39. The times were impressive throughout with all
club runners performing well. Special mention must be made of Jo Robinson who had a slight mishap at the
start line and still finished in under 2 hours after a lengthy visit to the first Aid tent to be patched
up……very nice bandage in the finish pics Jo!!
